Area covered by this blog

The area covered by this blog is that which has traditionally received most attention from Scarborough Birders over the years. It extends from Scarborough harbour and South Bay in the south, to Cloughton Newlands in the north. The western boundary for the most part is the A165 as far as Burniston where it then follows the A171 into Cloughton and then the minor road as far as Cloughton Newlands.

In 2014 I have entered the Patchwork Challenge.  I have pretty low expectations for my chances as I expect to be away for a significant proportion of the year. However, it'll be interesting to see how I get on. My PWC2014 patch is the maximum allowed 3 km and is depicted in the image below.
